Business was started by present owner in December 2008, situated in a busy little shopping centre in the centre of town with an average foot count of 200 000 per month. Situated close to the parking area visible from the street surrounded by various other shops.

This DVD Franchise outlet carries a full complement of DVD's & Playstation games, and stock represents a wide range of titles including classics and the latest releases. With the hands-on experience of the franchisee she knows which types of titles and how many of each particular title to keep in her shop.

The shop runs on a very sophisticated computer system which enables the shop to be manager run and makes it very easy for the owner pick up any discrepancies or problems. They purchase their stock from the Franchise, are invoiced once a month and must pay by the 2nd last day of the month. The purchases from the franchise includes a 4% handling charge. They are however not limited to only purchasing from the franchise.


There is currently two staff members (one is a manager), they work shifts from 09h00-15h00 and 15h00-21h00. The manager receives the new stock, book it in, print labels and are responsible for the shelving displays. The staff are permanent and will most probably remain in the shop. They appoint casuals when needed over the holiday period.

Although the shop is only opened for one year now, you can see it is growing monthly and the opportunity exists to grow it even further.
