This project represents a unique opportunity to rapidly develop a mining operation over a short time! Priced right to sell quick!
The primary sources of all of South Africa’s diamonds are kimberlites in ancient, vertically dipping volcanic pipes, mostly located in the vicinity of the city of Kimberley and initially amenable to opencast. The underground mining and recovery of diamonds continue to this day in the vicinity of Kimberley, the site of the early main discoveries in the 19th century.
The opportunity now exists to acquire a dormant mine with a kimberlite pipe and two fissures in the Postmasburg area, Northern Cape, South Africa. This mine has been mined for about 6 years over the past 100 years and has been dormant for the past 7 years. Both open cast and underground methods were used in the past. The most recent production being from limited tailings treatment conducted in 2010.
The area where the mine is located has a long history of diamond mining.
