Energy Generation Project – Solar PV Technology, Grid Tie, generating electricity during all sunshine hours per day.
Funding Requirement:
At an estimated USD 0.9 per Watt Peak (all DC / AC & Aux costs included) the requirement is USD 75,600,000million. At an estimated exchange rate of USD: ZAR of 15 the requirement in ZAR is R1,134,000,000 excluding all taxes, VAT, and levies that might be applicable.
Proposed Project Start Date: 2021
Proposed Completion Date: Within 18 - 24 months from the start date.
Development Fee and First Phase Capital Requirement:
For the project to proceed, it is estimated that 12% of the capital value = R136,080,000 is required to complete the development and secure the land and final statutory approvals. The money will also be used to place orders and pay deposits for panels, structures, DC to AC inverters, and transformers for the local plant substation.
Guarantees proposed
• Bankable Power Purchase Agreement with the proposed off-taker for a period of 25 years
• Solar PV plant/assets to be constructed
