I am seeking a serious strategic investor with R3 million to R5 million to partner with me in establishing and expanding Aurelia Independent School into a future-focused independent education group in the Helderberg region of the Western Cape.
This is not a struggling school with historical institutional liabilities. It's a brand-new school that is unique in learner product design. Learners obtain a WCED + Artificial Intelligence certifications for each grade. This makes the learner nationally and globally competitive.
It is an opportunity to partner with an experienced national education executive to build a modern independent school combining academic excellence, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and internationally relevant technological education.
The Founder has more than 30 years professional experience in the national education sector. He has dedicated his professional career to establishing, accrediting, managing, evaluating and expanding educational institutions throughout South Africa such as private schools, FET/TVET Colleges and private universities.
My professional experience includes:
- Former Deputy CEO and Group Academic Registrar of a national private education group operating 80 campuses across nine provinces, serving approximately 25,000 students.
- Established, accredited and supported 27 educational institutions across Higher Education, TVET and independent schooling.
- Council on Higher Education (CHE) Evaluator and Institutional Auditor.
- Former Umalusi Accreditation Committee Board Member, Evaluator and Monitor.
- QCTO/SETA Assessor, Moderator and Quality Assurance Specialist.
- Developed and operated a national tencampus education franchise network.
- SABS ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Auditor.
My qualifications include a Masters of Business Leadership (UNISA), MBA in Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0, Advanced MBA in Global Education Leadership, MBA in Artificial Intelligence in Education, and postgraduate qualifications in Higher Education and AI-enabled learning. Currently pursuing a Doctorate.

THE OPPORTUNITY – A DIFFERENT KIND OF SCHOOL
Aurelia is being developed around a simple ethos:
The school will combine South Africa's CAPS curriculum with a parallel Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Academy. All learners must have formal school qualifications plus parallel AI qualifications.
Learners will receive conventional academic education alongside structured exposure to coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, digital creativity and emerging technologies, with national and international certification pathways.
This is not about replacing teachers with technology. It is about empowering educators and preparing learners to compete confidently in a rapidly changing global environment.
EXISTING WCED REGISTRATION AND SCHOOL PROPERTY
Aurelia Independent School (Pty) Ltd is an established South African company with existing Western Cape Education Department registration for Grades 1–7.
Due to existing property challnges, a new school property in the Helderberg region is currently being pursued for purchase. This forms the core reason of seeking a school partner.
HIGH SCHOOL EXPANSION WITHIN 12 MONTHS
My strategic objective is to expand Aurelia from its existing primary-school registration into a combined primary and high school serving Grades 1–12. The target is to obtain the necessary approvals and commence high-school provision within 12 months of investment and implementation.
Having spent decades working within South Africa's educational accreditation and regulatory environment, we have the ability to expand the number of schools in Western Cape in a short period.
THREE CAMPUSES IN THE HELDERBERG REGION
Aurelia is not intended to remain a single-campus institution.
Our ambition is to establish or secure three campus opportunities across Strand, Gordon's Bay and the broader Western Cape within 12 months of commencing operations, subject to funding, demand, suitable properties and regulatory approvals.
The planned model includes:
**Campus 1:** Flagship independent primary school, Grades R-7
**Campus 2:** Grades 8-12 (High School).
**Campus 3:** Suitable location within Western Cape
Each campus will operate within a centralised academic, governance, financial, quality assurance and technology framework.
My experience managing national multi-campus educational operations and developing education franchise networks provides the operational foundation for this expansion strategy.
THE INVESTMENT – R3 MILLION TO R5 MILLION
I am seeking one serious strategic investor or investment partner who understands the long-term commercial and social value of education.
Investment capital will be applied towards:
- Securing and developing suitable school property.
- Educational infrastructure and campus facilities.
- Technology, AI and Robotics Academy implementation.
- Teaching resources and academic staffing.
- Learner recruitment, admissions and marketing.
- Initial operating working capital.
- Regulatory approvals and highschool expansion.
The investment may be structured through negotiated equity participation, a property-backed arrangement, or a combination of both.
