Be My Guest Lodge started as a family concern in 2004. Advertising in those years was not easy, with access to internet not being what it is today, but through trial and error and by word of mouth, the lodge became well known as a hospitality establishment, going from strength to strength. Currently, Be My Guest Lodge operates at a 90% occupancy rate of its available rooms and is financially very stable. We are very fortunate to have a diligent manager, Deon Krause, at the helm.
The lodge consists of 6 en-suite double rooms, of which 2 are equipped to be used on a self-catering basis. All rooms have private entrances and patios leading into a beautiful garden with a swimming pool.
Separate from the rooms, next to the swimming pool is the 6-seater Garden Cottage with a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious lounge/TV room, full bathroom and patio.
The lush and well-kept garden with swimming pool is admired and enjoyed by all our guests and is therefore a huge asset to the lodge
The décor of the reception area and office is charming and tasteful.
Breakfast and dinner (on request) are served in the dining room, which can seat 16 people at 4 tables. The fire place ensures a cosy atmosphere in the dining area during winter. Meals are prepared in the fully equipped kitchen.
All laundry is done on the premises, with the laundry being next to the storeroom where garden and other tools are kept.
Like many businesses, Be My Guest Lodge has been under severe strain during the 18-month Covid period but has since recovered and is as successful as ever.
Currently, the lodge is doing exceptionally well, with an occupancy rate of approximately 90% during the past 7 months of summer. We expect the same for next summer, starting at the beginning of October. Therefore, if the lodge sells soon, the new owner will take over when the high season commences. During winter, occupancy drops to approximately 65%
During the past 20 years, Be My Guest Lodge has produced a steady income for our family and has always been a reliable asset in many ways. We will be sad to part with the lodge but we are at an age where we would prefer to slow down our activities and live a more relaxed life.
