We are in a busy part of Ballito, very central on a busy road outside the entrance to a school, so have loads of traffic passing our shop every day all day.
We are also 3km from a taxi rank and surrounded by large estates like Zimbali, Simbithi, Brettenwood and Dunkirk ensuring quality stock.
There are also plenty of new developments going up around us like Ballito Hills, Ballito Village and Zimbali Lakes, many of these developments furnish their apartments with stock from our shop.
We currently rent 2 shops which are retail shops that we have occupied for the past 13 years and are very well known.
All the shops are fully functional with shelves, computers, phones, internet, selling stock, etc. We also rent a storage unit for overflow stock which we advertise and sell on our online platforms.
We have a Facebook page with more than 1300 followers, which is growing daily, and an Instagram account with more than 450 followers, which is new and is also growing quite nicely.
We also use WhatsApp; we advertise on all our local 2nd hand item pages.
We also advertise at The Whoo magazine which generates nice business from a buying and selling perspective.
It is difficult to stock take a second-hand shop as we have so many items and the rotation of stock the whole time, we estimate the stock value is about R800 000.
